Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your DC Shoes last through the season, follow these maintenance tips:
- Breaking In: New leather shoes can be stiff. Wear them for short durations indoors before full-day outdoor use to allow the material to soften.
- Cleaning: Wipe away dirt with a damp cloth. Avoid submerging the shoes in water, as this can damage the leather and the shearling lining.
- Drying: If the shoes get wet, air dry them at room temperature. Never place them directly on a heater or radiator, as excessive heat can crack the leather.
- Protection: Consider applying a leather-safe water repellent spray to protect the exterior from salt and light moisture during winter.
