Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Stan Smiths last, start by using a shoe horn to prevent damaging the heel counter when putting them on. If you plan on using custom orthotics, ensure you check the interior volume, as the low-profile design may require removing the stock insole. For maintenance, clean the leather upper regularly using a soft, damp cloth and mild soap to remove surface dirt. Avoid machine washing or drying, as this can crack the leather and ruin the adhesive bonds. Apply a leather protectant spray if you anticipate light moisture, and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
