The Timco Standard Double Strap Gate Hinge Set is designed for homeowners and contractors seeking a reliable solution for hanging field or driveway gates on timber posts. This set provides excellent structural support for gates measuring between 1200mm and 2700mm in width and 75mm in thickness, ensuring smooth operation and long-term stability. While the set is rated for moderate salt environments, users in extreme coastal areas may require a higher level of corrosion resistance.

This set is specifically designed for gate widths between 1200mm and 2700mm.
The set is engineered for 75mm gate thickness; using it on thinner wood may prevent the carriage bolts from tightening properly.
It is rated for moderate salt atmospheres (urban/industrial), but is not fully stainless and may require maintenance in severe coastal conditions.
The 9mm hole in the hook-to-bolt is for an R-clip or linch pin, which prevents the gate from being lifted off the hinges.
Yes, the kit includes the necessary carriage bolts, nuts, washers, and exterior woodscrews.
Check that the carriage bolts are fully tightened and the gate post has not shifted in the ground.
Ensure you have installed the pin in an inverted position and, if necessary, use a linch pin or R-clip in the 9mm security hole.
To install, ensure your timber posts are securely set and your gate thickness is exactly 75mm. Align the top band and bottom strap with the gate frame and use the provided carriage bolts to drill and secure them firmly. The hook-to-bolt should be passed through the post and tightened using the included M20 hardware. For long-term care, periodically inspect the bolts for tightness, especially during the first few months after installation. If you notice any finish wear, applying an outdoor-rated touch-up paint can help maintain the protective coating against the elements.
