Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
The Antec AX-1000 ARGB supports a wide range of motherboard form factors, including E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, and ITX, offering broad compatibility with various build configurations. It can accommodate GPUs up to 420mm in length and CPU coolers up to 185mm in height.
Setup:
- Prepare the Case: Open the case by releasing the tool-free side panels. Identify the motherboard standoffs and install them if not pre-populated for your motherboard size.
- Install Motherboard: Carefully place your motherboard onto the standoffs and secure it with screws.
- Install PSU: Mount the power supply unit (PSU) in its designated bay, usually at the bottom rear, and connect necessary cables.
- Install Storage: Mount 2.5" SSDs and 3.5" HDDs in their respective bays. The case offers 1x 3.5" bay and 2x 5.25" bays.
- Install GPU: Slot your graphics card into the appropriate PCIe slot and secure it.
- Connect Front I/O and Fans: Connect the front panel connectors (power, reset, USB, audio) to the motherboard. Connect the pre-installed ARGB fans to the motherboard or the included ARGB controller.
- Cable Management: Route cables through the designated channels behind the motherboard tray for a clean build and optimal airflow.
- Finalize: Reattach the side panels. Ensure all connections are secure.
Care:
- Dust Filters: Regularly detach and clean the magnetic dust filters (top, front, bottom) using compressed air or a soft brush to maintain optimal airflow. These filters are easily removable for cleaning.
- Glass Panel: Clean the tempered glass side panel with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a glass cleaner sparingly and avoid spraying directly onto the glass.
- General Cleaning: Periodically dust the interior of the case with compressed air, focusing on heatsinks and fan blades.
