Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Prepare the Mattress: Ensure your cot bed mattress is clean and dry.
- Unfold Sheet: Carefully unfold one of the fitted sheets.
- Position: Place one corner of the fitted sheet over a corner of the mattress.
- Stretch: Gently stretch the sheet diagonally to the opposite corner, fitting it securely over the mattress. Work your way around to the remaining two corners.
- Smooth: Once all corners are fitted, smooth out any wrinkles on the sheet's surface to create a flat, comfortable sleeping area for your baby.
Compatibility
These fitted sheets are exclusively designed for standard cot beds. They may not fit correctly on smaller cots, bedside cribs, or larger junior beds. Always verify the dimensions of your cot bed mattress against standard cot bed sizes to ensure a proper and safe fit. Using sheets that are too large can create loose fabric, while sheets that are too small may rip or not cover the mattress adequately.
Care
Proper care helps maintain the softness, color, and integrity of your sheets:
- Washing: Machine wash with similar colors. > Info needed: Specific wash temperature recommendations (e.g., 30°C, 40°C) should be available on the product care label. Using a gentle cycle is often recommended for baby linens.
- Detergent: Use a mild, baby-friendly detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals or bleach that could irritate sensitive skin or damage the fabric.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting, or air dry to help preserve the fabric's softness and prevent shrinkage. > Info needed: Specific tumble dry instructions will be on the care label.
- Ironing: If desired, iron on a low heat setting. Avoid high heat as it can damage the fabric fibers.
