Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These boots are designed for immediate use with no specific setup required. Ensure you have the correct size for a comfortable fit. It is recommended to wear them for short walks initially to allow them to conform to your feet.
Compatibility: Compatible with standard hiking socks. Not designed for specific technical climbing equipment beyond general trail use.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud with a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild soap and water solution. Avoid harsh detergents or solvents.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators or fires. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape during drying.
- Waterproofing Maintenance: The GORE-TEX® membrane is durable, but periodic re-treatment of the outer fabric with a water-repellent spray designed for footwear can help maintain performance and appearance, especially after extensive use.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, preferably not in a sealed plastic bag to allow for air circulation.
