Troubleshooting

Device fails to pair with the sonar

Bring the extender closer to the sonar unit during the initial pairing sequence and ensure both devices are fully charged.

Signal drops at long distances

Verify that there are no major metallic obstructions between the boat and your receiver, and ensure the extender is mounted as high as possible.

Automatic reconnection does not occur

Power cycle both the fish finder and the BT4 unit to refresh the handshaking protocol.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extends sonar range significantly up to 600m total diameter
Extremely lightweight and compact for easy transport
Very fast initial setup with automated reconnect features
Optimized protocols ensure reliable data transmission on water

Cons

Exclusive to the BEETACKLE ecosystem
Requires proximity to the fish finder for initial pairing
Performance may vary slightly based on severe weather obstructions

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the BT4, ensure your BEETACKLE sonar is powered on and within close proximity. Once activated, the device will undergo its auto-pairing sequence in under 3 seconds. The BT4 is fully compatible with BEETACKLE V3 and V4 bait boats. To care for your unit, keep the exterior clean and dry after each outing. While built for the water, avoid submerging the extender directly to prevent potential ingress, and store it in a cool, dry place when not in use to extend the lifespan of the internal electronics.
