Gyproc Standard Tapered Edge Plasterboard - 9.5mm

Use drywall screws specifically designed for plasterboard. Ensure the length of the screws is appropriate for the thickness of the board and the underlying structure.

While Gyproc Standard Plasterboard can be used in bathrooms, it is better to use moisture-resistant plasterboard for areas prone to high humidity and water exposure.

Use a sharp utility knife to score the surface along the desired line, then snap the board along the score. You can also use a plasterboard saw.

The tapered edges allow for easy jointing using jointing tape and compound, creating a seamless finish.

Store the plasterboard flat in a dry, protected area. Avoid stacking heavy items on top of the boards.

While you can tile onto Gyproc Standard Plasterboard, it's recommended to use a tile backer board or a moisture-resistant plasterboard in wet areas.

Ensure that the jointing compound has fully dried and been properly sanded. Check for any movement in the underlying structure which may be causing the cracks. Re-apply jointing compound if necessary.

Ensure you are using the correct drywall screws and that they are penetrating the board at the correct angle. If the board is breaking, try pre-drilling pilot holes.

Ensure the surface is smooth before painting. Sand any imperfections, and apply a primer before painting to ensure an even finish.
