Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Ensure the supporting framework (studs or ceiling joists) is level and correctly spaced.
- Cutting: Use a sharp utility knife to score the plasterboard and snap it along the score line. For curved cuts, use a coping saw or jigsaw.
- Fixing: Secure the plasterboard to the framework using appropriate drywall screws. Space the screws according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Jointing: Apply jointing compound to the tapered edges and embed jointing tape. Smooth the compound with a taping knife and allow it to dry completely.
- Finishing: Apply a second coat of jointing compound and sand smooth once dry. Prime and paint as desired.
Compatibility: Compatible with standard drywall screws, jointing compounds, and finishing materials.
Care:
- Protect the plasterboard from moisture during storage and installation.
- Avoid excessive impact or pressure on the surface.
- Clean with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners.
