Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Lacing: Ensure laces are securely tied to provide a snug yet comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing patterns to find what works best for your foot shape.
- Break-in Period: Like all high-performance boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them during light training sessions or for shorter durations initially to allow the materials to mold to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG/MG (Firm Ground/Multi-Ground) outsole, making them suitable for:
- Natural Grass (FG): Ideal for firm, dry natural grass pitches.
- Artificial Turf (MG): Performs well on modern artificial turf surfaces.
Avoid using these boots on very soft, muddy, or extremely hard/abrasive surfaces, as this can compromise performance and durability.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, knock off any loose dirt and then wipe the boots clean with a damp cloth. Use a soft brush for stubborn dirt on the soleplate and studs.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh detergents, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the NIKESKIN material and adhesives.
- Air Dry: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as this can cause the materials to crack or stiffen.
- Stuff with Paper: To help maintain their shape and absorb excess moisture, you can stuff the boots with newspaper or paper towels while they dry.
- Proper Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
