Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting the most out of your Nike Vomero Plus involves a few simple steps for setup, ensuring compatibility, and proper care.
Setup & Sizing
- Try Them On: Always try on the shoes, preferably at the end of the day when your feet are slightly swollen. Wear the type of socks you typically run in.
- Check the Fit: Ensure there's about a thumb's width space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe. The midfoot should feel snug but not tight, and your heel should not slip significantly.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find the most comfortable and secure fit for your foot shape. Ensure laces are tied securely to prevent slippage without creating pressure points.
Compatibility
- Running Apparel: The Vomero Plus pairs well with standard running socks and apparel. Choose moisture-wicking socks to prevent blisters.
- Running Surfaces: Best suited for roads, pavements, and light trails. The outsole provides good traction on hard, relatively even surfaces.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently clean dirt and debris from the upper and sole using a soft brush or cloth and mild soap with cold water. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature. Do not put them in a dryer or expose them to direct heat, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Remove insoles occasionally to air them out.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Vomero Plus with another pair of running shoes to extend their lifespan and allow the cushioning to decompress.
