Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Air Force 1s last, proper maintenance is essential. Always use a shoe horn when putting them on to prevent damaging the heel counter. Given the combination of leather and suede, use a specialized leather cleaner for the overlays and a dry suede brush for the heel panel; never submerge the shoes in water. To keep them looking fresh, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the mocha tones. If you use custom insoles, the factory-installed Air insole can be removed to accommodate them, provided your orthotics have a low profile.
