Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
Upon first boot, follow the on-screen prompts to set up Windows 11 Pro. This includes connecting to a Wi-Fi network, signing in with your Microsoft account or setting up a local account, and configuring Windows Hello (fingerprint reader or face recognition) for secure login. Ensure you install any available Windows updates to get the latest security patches and features.
Compatibility:
This laptop runs Windows 11 Pro, offering broad compatibility with most Windows applications. For applications optimized for ARM processors (like those running on the Snapdragon chip), performance will be at its best. Non-optimized applications will run via emulation, which may result in reduced performance. Always check the developer's website for specific compatibility information, especially for specialized business software.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For the keyboard, a can of compressed air can help remove dust and debris.
- Battery Care: To maximize battery longevity, avoid exposing the laptop to extreme temperatures. Windows 11 Pro includes battery management features that can be configured in Settings.
- Ventilation: Ensure the laptop's vents are not blocked during use to maintain optimal operating temperatures. Avoid using it on soft surfaces like blankets for extended periods.
- Updates: Regularly check for and install Windows updates and driver updates via Windows Update to ensure the best performance and security.
