The Farrow & Ball Wine Dark No. 308 tester pot is an essential tool for homeowners and interior designers looking to preview this rich, sophisticated shade before committing to a larger paint purchase. Designed for precision testing, this 100ml pot allows you to observe how the color interacts with your room's specific lighting conditions and existing decor; however, keep in mind that tester pots are intended for small swatches only and may not reflect the final finish quality of full-sized professional cans.

While it can be used for very small crafts, the 100ml volume is primarily designed for color swatches and will not cover larger furniture items.
The tester pot shows the color accurately, but the sheen or finish may vary slightly compared to the professional-grade Estate or Modern Emulsion finishes.
Close the lid tightly and store in a cool, dry place away from frost and direct sunlight.
Yes, this product is low VOC, making it suitable for indoor testing environments.
Depending on the size of your swatch, you can typically paint 2 to 4 test areas of approximately 30cm x 30cm.
Light significantly impacts paint perception. View the swatch at different times of the day to see the true range of the color.
Ensure the wall surface is properly prepped and primed. Applying a second thin coat can improve opacity.
To prepare for testing, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust. If testing on a wall that currently has a vibrant or contrasting color, apply a coat of primer to ensure the true shade of Wine Dark shows through. Use a standard high-quality brush for application. Once testing is complete, securely reseal the tester pot if paint remains, or dispose of the empty container according to your local environmental guidelines. Store the pot in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain pigment integrity.
