This profile is specifically engineered for fibre cement boards. While it may physically fit, we recommend it only for its intended use with fibre cement to ensure proper drainage and compatibility.
The factory-applied powder coating is durable. If you wish to change the color, you must use a high-quality metal primer and exterior-grade paint, though this is generally not recommended as it may void the product finish warranty.
A miter saw with a non-ferrous metal blade or a hacksaw with a fine-tooth blade will provide the cleanest results.
The 5mm gap is essential for the rainscreen principle. It allows air to circulate behind the cladding to dry out moisture and allows for thermal expansion of the boards.
This is an End Profile designed for vertical terminations. Using it in a horizontal position may trap water and violate the drainage design of the cladding system.
Ensure the profile is screwed directly into the structural battens and that the screws are tightened flush without deforming the channel.
You must maintain the 5mm clearance. Re-cut the board to reduce its length to ensure the required gap is present for ventilation.
