Compatibility
This FireAngel CO alarm is designed to meet the requirements for private and rented homes in England, Wales, and Ireland. It is important to note that due to its replaceable battery design, it does not comply with the updated Scottish Fire and CO laws as of February 2022, which typically require sealed 10-year battery alarms or mains-powered alarms with battery backup.
Care & Maintenance
- Regular Testing: Press the test button at least once a week to ensure the alarm is working correctly.
- Battery Replacement: The included batteries are designed to last approximately one year. Replace them annually with new, high-quality alkaline batteries of the specified type.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the alarm casing with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust. Do not use cleaning sprays or solvents, as these can damage the sensor or electronics.
- Placement Guidelines: Install alarms in or near every room containing a fuel-burning appliance. Additionally, place an alarm in rooms frequently used for sleeping. Ensure the alarm is at least 1-3 meters (3-10 feet) away from fuel-burning appliances and not directly above heat sources or in very humid areas.
