Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack Your Sandals: Remove all packaging materials.
- Adjust the Buckle: Before wearing, adjust the metal buckle to ensure the strap fits snugly but not tightly over your foot. You should be able to slide a finger easily under the strap.
- Initial Wear: Begin by wearing your Gizeh sandals for short periods (1-2 hours) each day. This allows the footbed to gradually mold to your foot's unique shape and your feet to adapt to the contoured support. Gradually increase wear time as comfort improves.
Compatibility
These sandals are designed for casual wear and pair well with a wide range of outfits, from shorts and dresses to jeans and skirts. They are a versatile choice for warm weather conditions and relaxed settings.
Care
- Birko-Flor® Upper: This synthetic material is easy to clean. Wipe it gently with a damp cloth and mild soap (if needed) to remove dirt or stains. Allow to air dry completely.
- Cork Footbed: Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat or direct sunlight, which can dry out the cork. Protect the cork from water saturation, as this can damage the material. If it gets wet, let it air dry away from direct heat. Consider using a specialized cork sealant periodically to protect and moisturize the cork.
- Suede Insole: Gently brush the suede with a soft brush to remove dirt. For tougher spots, a damp cloth can be used very sparingly for spot cleaning, then allow to air dry.
- EVA Outsole: The EVA sole can be easily cleaned with water and mild soap if it becomes dirty. Do not submerge the entire sandal.
- Storage: Store your sandals in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
