Setup, Compatibility & Care
Plant the bulbs in late summer to early autumn, approximately 15-20cm deep. Because the bulbs have a slight depression on the top, it is recommended to plant them at a slight angle to prevent water from pooling in the hollow, which can lead to rot.
Choose a site with well-draining soil in full sun or partial shade. If your soil is heavy or prone to waterlogging, add grit or sand to the base of the planting hole. After flowering, remove the spent flower stems but leave the leaves until they have yellowed and died back completely; this is essential for the bulb to absorb nutrients for next year's display.
