This Homescapes Egyptian Cotton Flat Sheet in Silver Grey is designed for those who appreciate crisp, pure cotton bedding. Its key benefit is the lasting comfort and softness derived from high-quality, single-ply Egyptian cotton. A potential caveat is that percale weave, while crisp, may require ironing to maintain a smooth appearance.

Homescapes uses single-ply yarn in a percale weave. This means that 200 threads per square inch are woven from single yarns. Many manufacturers use multi-ply yarns (like 2-ply), where two yarns are twisted together to make one thread. A 400 thread count using 2-ply yarn would have 200 sets of twisted yarns. Homescapes' single-ply 200 TC is generally considered to be of similar quality and feel to a 400 TC with 2-ply yarn, but with greater durability due to the single-ply construction.
Yes, the sheet is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for sensitive skin.
Percale weave is known for its crisp, cool, and smooth feel. It's often described as feeling like a fresh hotel sheet.
A flat sheet is a simple rectangle of fabric designed to be tucked in, offering more flexibility in how it's used. A fitted sheet has elasticated corners to hold it securely in place on the mattress. This flat sheet requires manual tucking.
Yes, Egyptian cotton is known for its durability and its tendency to become even softer with every wash, especially when cared for properly.
The double size measures 230 x 255 cm.
While a small amount of fabric softener can be used occasionally to enhance softness, excessive use is not recommended as it can interfere with the breathability and crisp feel of the percale weave over time.
This is characteristic of a new percale weave. Wash the sheet a few times with a mild detergent. Using a fabric softener sparingly on a warm wash cycle can also help soften the fabric over time. Avoid over-softening, which can reduce the crisp feel.
Iron the sheet while it is still slightly damp. Use a medium heat setting. Ensure the iron is clean. For stubborn wrinkles, a spray bottle with water can be used to dampen the area before ironing.
Ensure you are washing in warm water (up to 40°C) and using a mild detergent. Avoid washing with abrasive items or using bleach. Always tumble dry on a low heat setting or air dry away from direct sunlight.
Setup: This is a flat sheet, designed to be placed over the fitted sheet and tucked in at the foot and sides of the mattress. Its generous size (230 x 255 cm for Double) allows for ample tucking.
Compatibility: Compatible with standard double-sized mattresses. It can be used with any duvet, blanket, or top layer for bedding.
Care: To maintain the quality and softness of your Egyptian cotton sheet:
