The North Face Quest Jacket is designed for adult males seeking reliable protection during outdoor activities like hiking. Its primary benefit is offering waterproof and windproof coverage with breathability, ensuring comfort in varying weather conditions. A potential caveat is that its regular fit might not suit everyone's preference for a more tailored silhouette. This jacket utilizes DryVent™ technology to shield you from the elements while allowing internal moisture to escape, keeping you dry from both the outside and inside. Key features include adjustable elements for a custom fit and secure zippered pockets.

DryVent™ is a proprietary technology used by The North Face that creates a waterproof yet breathable barrier. It allows moisture vapor to escape from the inside while preventing water from penetrating from the outside.
The jacket itself provides wind and water protection but minimal insulation. For very cold weather, it is best used as an outer shell layered over insulating mid-layers like fleece or down jackets.
Machine wash the jacket at 40 degrees Celsius using a small amount of liquid detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach. Tumble dry on low heat.
The jacket features a regular fit, designed to accommodate layering underneath without being overly baggy.
The pockets are zippered for secure closure, helping to protect contents from rain and wind. While the zippers offer protection, the pockets themselves are not a fully waterproof compartment.
Yes, the hood features an adjustable drawstring and toggle system at the hem, allowing you to customize the fit for optimal protection.
The jacket is primarily constructed from Polyester, featuring the DryVent™ membrane for its protective qualities.
Ensure the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish is intact. If not, consider re-applying a DWR treatment specifically designed for technical outerwear after washing.
Gently clean the zipper teeth with a small brush and water. Apply a silicone-based lubricant or wax to the zipper teeth to improve movement.
Check the drawstring and toggle at the base of the hood. Ensure the drawstring is properly threaded and the toggle is functional for tightening.
This can indicate the breathability is being overwhelmed by high activity levels or humidity. Ensure all vents are open and consider layering with moisture-wicking base layers.
Setup: The jacket requires no assembly. Simply unpack and wear. Ensure all zippers are functional before use.
Compatibility: This jacket is designed for general outdoor use. It can be layered over various base layers and mid-layers, such as t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, or lightweight fleeces, to adapt to different temperatures. It is suitable for activities like hiking, walking, camping, and casual outdoor wear.
