Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jacket maintains its thermal efficiency and waterproof capabilities, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wash the jacket on a gentle cycle in cold water using a technical detergent designed for synthetic insulation. Avoid bleach or heavy fabric softeners which can degrade the DWR coating.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting. Including clean tennis balls in the dryer can help redistribute the synthetic insulation evenly.
- Storage: Hang the jacket in a cool, dry place. Avoid compressing it in a vacuum bag for long periods, as this can flatten the synthetic fibers over time.
- Compatibility: The hood is specifically designed for ski and snowboard helmet compatibility; adjust the drawcords while wearing your helmet to find the optimal tension. Ensure the powder skirt is snapped correctly if you are expecting deep snow conditions.
