The Berghaus Trail-Explorer Zip Off Pant is designed for adult hikers and outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize versatility and range of motion in changing weather conditions. By allowing you to instantly convert long trousers into shorts, these pants provide excellent adaptability for fluctuating temperatures during multi-day treks. While they excel in mobility and storage, users should be aware that the convertible design requires careful management of the detached lower leg sections during the day.

These are primarily designed as lightweight hiking pants. They work well for moderate conditions, but you may need an additional base layer underneath for extreme cold.
The legs are usually color-coded or marked on the inside to distinguish left from right; check the internal labels after detaching.
The fabric is designed for performance and durability, but it is not explicitly categorized as waterproof gear.
The pants feature multiple pockets designed for common trail essentials, though fit may vary depending on the specific phone model.
Simply rinse with fresh water to remove dust or dirt. Do not apply lubricants unless the zipper is exceptionally stiff.
Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper track and align both sides perfectly before pulling the slider.
Clear any debris or grit from the zipper teeth using a soft brush.
To ensure the longevity of your Berghaus pants, always align the leg-specific zippers carefully before engagement. The pants are machine washable, but it is recommended to wash them with the leg sections attached or inside a mesh bag to prevent wear on the zipper teeth. Avoid using harsh chemical detergents or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the stretch properties of the fabric. Air drying is encouraged to maintain the structural integrity of the garment and extend its service life.
