This jacket is designed as a waterproof, windproof, and breathable mid-layer or outer layer, originally developed for sailing and water-based activities, offering protection and comfort in challenging weather.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with liquid detergent, rinse thoroughly, and tumble dry on low heat or hang dry. Avoid bleach and dry cleaning. Reapply DWR treatment as needed.

It can be used as a mid-layer in very cold weather, providing good insulation thanks to the Polartec® fleece. For extreme cold, layering with additional insulating garments underneath is recommended.

The jacket features a YKK® Vislon® zipper that is specifically designed to be sturdier and more resistant to saltwater, making it corrosion-resistant for marine environments.

The hood is designed to be packed into the collar for storage rather than being removable.

These features allow for greater freedom of movement, enabling you to perform tasks and maneuver comfortably without the jacket restricting your range of motion, which is particularly useful during active use like sailing.

The jacket features Polartec® fleece lining for warmth and breathability, and taffeta-lined sleeves for easy on and off. The collar and hand pockets are also lined with brushed fleece for added comfort.

The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric may have worn off. Reapply a DWR treatment according to the product's instructions, typically after washing and drying. Ensure the jacket is clean before application.

Ensure the zipper teeth are clean and free of debris, salt, or sand. Gently clean the zipper with a soft brush. Lubricate the zipper track with beeswax or a silicone-based lubricant specifically designed for zippers.

While the jacket is waterproof, heavy or prolonged exposure may eventually saturate the outer layers. Ensure all closures (zipper, cuffs, hem) are sealed properly. Allow the jacket to air dry completely after use to restore its insulating properties.

Check that vents are open if applicable and that the jacket is not excessively layered. Ensure the DWR is intact and the fabric's breathability is not compromised by dirt or residue. Clean the jacket following care instructions.
