Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
The Antora Rain Parka requires minimal setup. Upon receiving, simply adjust the three-piece hood using the drawcord and cord locks to achieve a comfortable, secure fit that protects your head without impeding vision. The encased-elastic cuffs will naturally conform to your wrists.
Compatibility
This parka is designed as an outer shell, making it highly compatible with various layering systems. For colder conditions, wear insulating layers such as fleeces or mid-weight jackets underneath. For milder, rainy days, a simple base layer will suffice. Ensure inner layers are breathable to maximize the parka's moisture-wicking capabilities.
Care Instructions
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Antora Rain Parka, follow these care guidelines:
- Washing: The parka is machine washable. Always refer to the care label inside the garment for specific temperature and cycle recommendations. Generally, use a mild detergent and a gentle cycle with cold water.
- Drying: Air dry your parka or tumble dry on a low heat setting. Avoid high heat, as it can damage the waterproof membrane and DWR finish.
- DWR Maintenance: The non-PFC DWR finish helps water bead up and roll off. Over time and with washing, this finish may diminish. If you notice water soaking into the fabric instead of beading, you can restore the DWR by tumble drying on low heat for a short period (as per care label) or by applying a DWR-restoring spray or wash-in product, following the product's instructions.
- Storage: Store the parka in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, when not in use.
