Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Measure Your Pole: Ensure your curtain pole extends 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) beyond each side of the window frame and is positioned 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) above the window frame.
- Unpack Curtains: Carefully remove curtains from packaging. If creased, allow them to hang for a few days or very gently steam from the reverse side on a low setting.
- Thread Eyelets: Slide the eyelets directly onto your curtain pole. Ensure the leading edge of each curtain faces the center of the window.
- Position Evenly: Distribute the fabric evenly across the pole to create consistent pleats and ensure a symmetrical look.
Compatibility
- Curtain Poles Only: These eyelet curtains are specifically designed for use with curtain poles. They are not compatible with curtain tracks without the use of additional adapters (which are not included).
- Pole Diameter: Ensure your curtain pole has a diameter small enough to fit through the eyelets. Info needed: [Exact eyelet diameter] typically 28-35mm.
Care
- Washing: Info needed: [Specific washing instructions from label - e.g., Dry Clean Only, or Gentle Machine Wash]. For chenille, often a gentle cycle with cold water or dry cleaning is recommended to preserve texture.
- Drying: Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
- Ironing: If necessary, iron on a low heat setting on the reverse side. Use a pressing cloth to protect the chenille fabric.
- Cleaning: Gently vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove dust. Spot clean small stains with a damp cloth and mild detergent, dabbing gently rather than rubbing.
Important Note
Always refer to the care label attached to your specific curtains for the most accurate and up-to-date cleaning instructions.
