Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: Upon receiving your Star Legacy Automatic Watch, it is recommended to wind it manually by rotating the crown about 40-50 times in a clockwise direction while it is in its resting position. This will ensure the power reserve is sufficiently charged. If not worn daily, consider using a watch winder to maintain its functionality and accuracy.
Compatibility: This is a mechanical timepiece, so it operates independently of electronic devices. Its compatibility is purely with its wearer and the environment.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the watch case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a slightly damp cloth (water only) and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: Check the specific water resistance rating for your model. While designed for everyday wear, avoid submerging the watch in water unless its rating explicitly permits it. Prolonged exposure to water or steam can damage the movement.
- Magnetism: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, certain electronic devices), as this can affect the accuracy of the automatic movement. If magnetized, it may require professional demagnetization.
- Servicing: Automatic watches require periodic servicing, typically every 3-5 years, to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Consult an authorized Montblanc service center for maintenance.
