Product Information

Full details

Hemway Premium Interior Paint is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking for a high-pigment, luxury matt finish for interior walls and ceilings. Its primary strength lies in its excellent coverage and eco-friendly, non-toxic formulation that allows for application directly over existing paint without the need for extensive priming or sanding. A key caveat to note is that this specific paint is intended solely for indoor use and should not be applied to exterior surfaces, for which Hemway offers a dedicated alternative product.

How long should I wait between coats?

You should allow each coat to dry for 2 hours before applying the next coat to ensure proper finish and adhesion.

Troubleshooting

Paint is not sticking properly to the surface.

Ensure the surface was cleaned thoroughly to remove any hidden traces of wax or grease before application.

Color appears inconsistent after drying.

Stir the paint more thoroughly for the full 2 minutes before application to re-disperse the high-density pigments.

Visible brush marks or roller streaks.

Ensure you are using high-quality tools and avoid overworking the paint once it begins to set; maintain a consistent "wet edge" during application.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent opacity with fewer coats needed
  • Environmentally friendly and non-toxic
  • No priming or sanding required on most surfaces
  • Quick drying time of 1-2 hours
  • Highly durable and washable finish

Cons

  • Not suitable for outdoor or exterior use
  • Requires proper surface preparation to remove oil and wax
  • Needs protection with clear lacquer for extreme high-traffic areas

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the best finish, begin by ensuring the target surface is clean, dry, and entirely free of any wax or oils. Stir the paint thoroughly with a spatula for at least 2 minutes to ensure consistent pigment distribution. You can use standard rollers or brushes for application. The paint is compatible with stencils and masking tape, allowing for precise design work. For ongoing care, simply wipe down walls with a damp cloth as needed; the durable, washable nature of the formula ensures the color remains vibrant. Store the paint in a cool, dry place and ensure the lid is tightly sealed after every use to maintain the product's shelf life.
