Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before first use, wash the pot with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth to remove any manufacturing residue. The Dutch oven is compatible with most standard stovetops, but avoid using high heat settings as cast iron is extremely efficient at retaining temperature and can scorch food if the heat is too intense.
For cleaning, allow the pot to cool completely before submerging it in water to avoid thermal shock. While the enamel is durable, avoid using metal scrubbers or abrasive scouring pads that could dull or chip the surface. Use silicone, wooden, or heat-resistant plastic utensils to preserve the non-stick interior. Storing the pot with a cloth protector between the lid and base can help prevent chipping when stacked.
