Crown Wall & Ceilings Matt Emulsion 2.5L - Yellow

This Crown Matt Emulsion is specifically formulated for interior walls and ceilings. It is suitable for plaster, plasterboard, concrete, cement render, and suitably prepared wallpaper.

Coverage varies, but typically, a 2.5L tin covers approximately 30-35 square meters with one coat. We recommend measuring your walls and ceilings and checking the product label for specific coverage rates. Always allow for two coats for best results.

Touch dry time is typically 2-4 hours. Allow 4 hours between coats. Full hardness and durability may take a few days to achieve. Always check the specific drying times on the paint tin for precise guidance.

While this paint is durable, its matt finish means it is less washable than silk or satin paints. For light marks, gently wipe with a *very slightly* damp, clean cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing as this can 'burnish' the matt surface, creating a shiny spot.

The 'Breatheasy' 99% solvent-free formula reduces the unpleasant odours associated with painting, making for a much more comfortable and pleasant decorating experience, particularly in indoor environments.

While suitable for general interior walls, for high-moisture areas like kitchens and bathrooms, Crown offers specific kitchen and bathroom paints with enhanced durability and moisture resistance. This Matt Emulsion is not formulated for constant high humidity.

Ensure the surface was clean and smooth before painting. Apply paint evenly, avoiding excessive pressure. Overlap wet edges to maintain a consistent finish. If the issue persists, re-sand lightly and apply another thin, even coat.

Thoroughly stir the paint before and during use to ensure pigments are fully mixed. Apply consistent, thin coats rather than thick ones, allowing adequate drying time between each. For significant colour changes, a primer or an extra coat may be necessary.

Check room temperature and humidity. Ideal conditions are moderate temperature (18-22°C) and average humidity. Avoid painting in direct sunlight or strong drafts, which can accelerate drying, or in very cold/humid conditions, which can slow it down.

Bubbles often result from over-rolling, improper surface preparation, or applying paint too thickly. Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Avoid excessive back-and-forth rolling. If blistering occurs, it might be due to moisture under the paint film; allow the surface to dry completely before repainting.
