Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Leighton Wellingtons last for years, follow these care steps:
- Cleaning: After use, rinse off any mud or dirt with clean water and a soft brush.
- Drying: Always let the boots dry naturally in a cool, ventilated area. Avoid placing them directly near heaters, radiators, or fireplaces, as high heat will cause the rubber to crack.
- Storage: Store upright in a cool, dark place to avoid UV damage which can degrade the rubber over time.
- Maintenance: If the rubber begins to look dull or white (a natural process called 'blooming'), use a dedicated rubber boot spray or a light silicone-based conditioner to restore the shine and maintain flexibility.
