The Scheppach Tiger 7000s is a professional-grade wet bench grinder designed for woodworkers, kitchen enthusiasts, and hobbyists who require razor-sharp edges on their blades and hand tools. By utilizing a water-cooled system, it prevents the overheating that typically ruins the temper of steel, ensuring high-quality results; however, users should note that the wet grinding process is a slower, more deliberate method compared to high-speed dry grinding.

Yes, the system is excellent for kitchen knives, especially when using the appropriate jig to maintain a consistent angle.
You should change the water after every sharpening session to ensure the abrasive grit in the water does not affect the finish.
No, the leather honing wheel should remain dry. Only the grinding stone requires water.
The induction motor is maintenance-free; simply keep the exterior housing clean and dry.
Yes, once the stone has worn down through years of use, it can be replaced with a compatible 250mm stone.
Ensure the water reservoir is filled correctly and use the grading tool to expose fresh grit on the stone surface.
Slow down your feed rate and ensure the stone is properly wetted before and during the grinding process.
Check that the stone is tightened correctly on the arbor and the unit is placed on a rigid, level workbench.
To set up your unit, place the grinder on a flat, stable surface. Fill the water reservoir to the indicated line, ensuring the bottom of the whetstone is partially submerged. Before first use, verify the stone is secure and clear of debris.
Compatibility: The included universal jig is compatible with most standard chisels, plane irons, and straight-edged blades.
