FAQs
What are the dimensions of the Roka Backpack - Granite?
The dimensions are: Height: 40 cm, Width: 37 cm, Depth: 12 cm.
Is the backpack suitable for carrying a laptop?
It features a lightly padded tablet compartment, which can often accommodate smaller laptops. Check the specific dimensions of your laptop against the compartment size.
How do I adjust the capacity of the backpack?
The capacity is adjusted using the roll-top design. Roll the top down more times for a smaller capacity, or less times for a larger capacity, securing with the magnetic holders.
Can the backpack withstand heavy rain?
The backpack is made from weatherproof nylon with a wax canvas base, designed to offer protection against the elements. However, it is not fully waterproof, so prolonged submersion or extremely heavy downpours may still allow moisture to penetrate.
What is the best way to clean the wax canvas base?
Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the base clean. Avoid using soap or harsh cleaners, and allow it to air dry completely. Re-waxing may be beneficial periodically to maintain its water resistance.
Are the shoulder straps padded?
Yes, the backpack features adjustable and lightly padded shoulder straps for comfortable carrying.
Does the backpack have a dedicated water bottle pocket?
Yes, it includes a convenient side pocket designed to hold a water bottle or similar items.
Troubleshooting
Bag feels stiff or water resistance is reduced on the base
The wax canvas base may need re-waxing. Use a specialized wax product designed for canvas or waxed cotton, following the product's instructions for application.
Zipper is difficult to open or close
Ensure the zipper teeth are clean and free of debris. Apply a silicone-based lubricant or a graphite pencil lead to the teeth for smoother operation.
Straps are uncomfortable or not staying adjusted
Ensure the strap adjusters are properly engaged. If the straps continue to slip, check for wear and tear on the webbing or adjusters.
Outer material has minor scuffs or marks
Gently wipe the affected area with a damp cloth. For more stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used sparingly, followed by rinsing with a clean damp cloth.
