Full details

The Kidde Firex KF20 is a mains-powered optical smoke alarm designed for enhanced fire protection in homes. It features an alkaline battery backup and can be interlinked with up to 23 other Kidde mains-powered alarms, including ionization, optical, and heat alarms. When interconnected, if one unit detects a hazard, all connected alarms will sound simultaneously. This alarm offers reduced energy consumption, leading to lower lifetime running costs compared to previous models. It includes a combined Test/Hush button for easy testing and silencing of nuisance alarms. The unit also features dust compensation and a bug screen to minimize false alarms, and an alarm memory function to identify the source unit in an interconnected network. It automatically resets after activation and has a tamper-resistant locking device. The alarm is backed by a 6-year warranty, BSI certified to BS EN14604:2005, and CE tested and certified to 0086-CPD-535595 15 EN14604:2005.
