Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Mounting: Install the access point on a ceiling or wall using the included mounting kit.
- Power: Connect the access point to a power source using Power over Ethernet (PoE) or the AC adapter (not included).
- Network Connection: Connect the access point to your network switch or router via the 2.5G Ethernet port.
- Omada Controller: Install and configure the Omada Software Controller on a PC, or use an Omada Hardware Controller (OC200/OC300) or the Omada Cloud Controller.
- Adoption: Within the Omada controller, adopt the EAP772 and configure your network settings.
Compatibility
The EAP772 is compatible with:
- Devices supporting Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 6, and earlier standards.
- Omada Software Controller, Omada Hardware Controller (OC200/OC300), and Omada Cloud Controller.
- Standard 802.3at/af PoE or DC power.
Care
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the access point.
- Placement: Avoid placing the access point in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate airflow around the device.
- Updates: Regularly update the firmware of the access point and the Omada controller for optimal performance and security.
