Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the sandals from their packaging.
- Open Straps: Fully open both the front and ankle hook-and-loop straps.
- Position Foot: Slide your child's foot into the sandal, ensuring their heel is comfortably seated and toes are not cramped.
- Secure Fit: Close the ankle strap first, adjusting for a snug but not tight fit. Then, close the front strap over the top of the foot, ensuring it's secure. There should be a small amount of wiggle room for toes, but the foot should not slide excessively within the sandal.
Compatibility
- Age Group: These sandals are specifically designed for young children, offering support for growing feet (UK size 6 is typically for toddlers).
- Activities: Ideal for a wide range of warm-weather activities including casual wear, playground use, hiking on light trails, beach outings, swimming pool visits, and any water-based play.
- Foot Type: Suitable for most foot types due to the adjustable straps that accommodate varying foot widths and instep heights.
Care & Maintenance
Keeping your Sunray Protect 2 sandals clean and well-maintained will ensure their longevity and comfort.
- After Water Use: Rinse the sandals with clean, fresh water immediately after exposure to chlorinated water or saltwater.
- General Cleaning: For dirt and grime, hand wash the sandals using mild soap (like dish soap) and a soft brush or cloth. Gently scrub all surfaces, paying attention to footbeds and crevices.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse away all soap residue with clean water.
- Drying: Allow the sandals to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or extreme heat, which can damage materials. Avoid machine washing or drying.
- Odor Control: Ensure sandals are fully dry after each use to prevent odor. A sprinkle of baking soda inside the dry sandals can help absorb odors.
