Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Salomon XT-6 trainers, consider the following maintenance practices:
- Break-in period: Wear the shoes for shorter walks before committing to high-mileage runs to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: After trail use, remove excess mud with a soft-bristled brush. Wipe the upper with a damp cloth; avoid submerging them in a washing machine, as this can degrade the specialized bonding agents.
- Storage: Keep your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent premature material aging or UV damage to the components.
- Insoles: Remove the insoles after particularly wet runs to facilitate thorough drying and prevent odor buildup.
