Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your new boots, gently loosen the laces and slide your foot in. Adjust the laces to ensure a snug, comfortable fit across your midfoot, ensuring your heel is locked in place. The foldover tongue should sit comfortably over the laces and be secured with its strap to provide a clean and integrated feel, ready for action. It's recommended to wear them for a few short training sessions to allow the HybridTouch upper to mold to your foot's unique shape for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are best suited for natural grass pitches that are firm and not excessively wet or muddy. Using these boots on Artificial Ground (AG), Turf (TF), or Indoor (IC) surfaces is not recommended as it can cause premature wear to the soleplate and studs, compromise performance, and may void any warranty.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your adidas Predator Elite boots, proper care is essential:
- After Each Use: Remove any loose dirt, mud, or debris by tapping the boots together. Gently wipe down the entire surface with a damp cloth.
- Deeper Clean: For more stubborn dirt, use a soft brush or sponge with a mild soap solution. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they can damage the materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators or tumble dryers), which can cause the materials to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees can help maintain their shape.
- Soleplate Lacquer: Please note that the lacquer finish on the bottom of the ControlFrame 2.0 soleplate is designed to wear off during play. This is a cosmetic occurrence and will not affect the performance, durability, or functionality of the product.
