Pertex® Shield 2.5L is a technical fabric construction that provides a waterproof and breathable barrier. The '2.5L' refers to a two-layer laminate with an added protective print or light coating on the inner face, making it lightweight and packable while offering durable protection against wind and rain.

The Rab Downpour Mountain Jacket is a waterproof shell. It is designed to protect you from the elements but does not provide significant insulation on its own. For very cold conditions, you will need to layer insulating garments (like fleece or down jackets) underneath it.
