You will need to purchase a filter, a heater (depending on fish species), a thermometer, fish food, a water conditioner, and of course, fish.

This starter set is intended for freshwater aquariums only. Saltwater setups require specialized equipment and parameters.

Due to the small size, it's recommended to keep only a few small, hardy fish, such as 2-3 guppies or 4-5 small tetras, to maintain water quality.

Regular partial water changes of about 25% weekly are recommended, along with occasional cleaning of the tank walls and filter media.

The aquarium measures 27cm (length) x 17cm (width) x 16.5cm (height).

The plastic tree is generally safe for freshwater fish. Ensure it has no sharp edges. For long-term setups, consider plants that are known to be safe or live aquatic plants.

This is often due to the natural cycling process or disturbed substrate. Ensure your filter is running and consider adding beneficial bacteria supplements. Avoid overfeeding.

Check water parameters (temperature, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate). Ensure the filter is providing adequate flow and the lid grills are not obstructed. Confirm fish are compatible with tank size and other inhabitants.

Perform regular water changes and clean the glass with an algae scraper. Reduce the amount of light the tank receives and avoid overfeeding.

Ensure no debris is caught in the lid mechanism. The plastic may require gentle manipulation initially.
