Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Unlace the boots slightly before putting them on to ensure a comfortable entry. Once your foot is in, pull the laces firm but not overly tight. Utilize the Ghost Lace system by tucking the laces neatly under the Gripknit upper or into the dedicated lace garage for a clean ball-striking surface. This might take a few tries to find the perfect tension and tuck.
- Break-in: Like most high-performance football boots, the Phantom 6 Elite High FG may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions before competitive matches to allow them to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are firm and relatively dry. Using them on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or hard ground (HG) can compromise traction, accelerate wear, and potentially lead to injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off dirt and mud with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the Gripknit or soleplate. Do not machine wash.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), as this can cause materials to shrink, crack, or become brittle. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them from dust and damage.
- Soleplate Lacquer: Please note that the blue lacquer finish on the bottom of the soleplate is designed to wear off during play. This is a cosmetic effect and will not affect the performance, durability, or functionality of the product. This is normal product behavior.
