Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch) out to its furthest position. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the desired time. Push the crown back in to start the watch.
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to its first position (usually one click out). Turn the crown to adjust the date. Be careful not to change the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. Push the crown back in once set.
- Bracelet Adjustment: For optimal comfort, the stainless steel bracelet may need to be adjusted to fit your wrist. This often involves removing or adding links. It is highly recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler to avoid damaging the bracelet or clasp.
Compatibility
This watch features a 44mm case, which is considered a larger size for men's watches. It is compatible with most adult wrist sizes, but individuals with smaller wrists may find it feels substantial.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: To maintain its shine, regularly wipe the watch case and bracelet with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: The watch is 30m water resistant, meaning it is suitable for splashes, rain, and brief immersion. Do NOT wear it while swimming, diving, showering, or engaging in activities where it will be submerged for extended periods or exposed to high-pressure water streams.
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Protect your watch from extreme heat or cold, and sudden temperature changes, as these can affect the watch's movement and battery life.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, laptops) as these can interfere with the accuracy of the movement.
- Storage: When not in use, store the watch in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a watch case, to protect it from dust and scratches.
