Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon arrival, ensure you plant these in high-quality, free-draining compost if keeping them in pots. If planting in the ground, ensure the soil is fertile and well-draining. Water regularly during the first growing season, especially during hot, dry spells, to help the root system establish. To care for the standard shape, prune the head of the plant back in late winter or early spring to encourage dense, fresh growth and keep the lollipop silhouette tight. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer in late spring to support the heavy flowering period.
