Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon arrival, pot on your jumbo plugs into individual containers using high-quality potting compost. Keep them in a frost-free area until the plants are well-established and all risk of frost has passed. When transplanting to their final outdoor position, ensure the soil is well-drained, as Alstroemeria dislike sitting in heavy, waterlogged ground. Incorporate grit or perlite into the planting hole if your soil is heavy clay. Water regularly during the first growing season, especially during dry spells, and feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every two weeks through the summer to support continuous flowering.
