Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure peak performance, follow these guidelines for setup and maintenance:
- Spooling: Always use a damp cloth when winding the braid onto your reel to ensure it is laid under consistent tension.
- Knots: Use reliable braid-friendly knots, such as the Palomar or a specialized braid-to-leader knot, ensuring they are lubricated before tightening to prevent friction burn.
- Shock Leaders: Always use a fluorocarbon or heavy monofilament shock leader to absorb the shock of the cast and prevent the braid from snapping at the knot.
- Cleaning: After use in particularly muddy or debris-heavy venues, lightly wipe the braid with a damp cloth to remove grit that can cause wear on your rod rings.
- Storage: Store out of direct sunlight when not in use to maintain the integrity of the high-visibility coating.
