Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These nails are designed for use with standard nail guns capable of handling stainless steel fixings, or can be hammered manually. For manual hammering, ensure a firm strike to fully seat the nail. For nail gun use, check the tool's specifications for compatibility with stainless steel nails and adjust pressure accordingly. Pre-drilling pilot holes may be advisable in very hard woods or near the edge of timber to prevent splitting, especially with the 50mm length.
Compatibility: The SSAR50 is compatible with most common construction timbers, including softwoods and hardwoods. Its A2 Stainless Steel makes it particularly suitable for use with naturally durable or treated timbers that can be corrosive to standard steel, such as green oak or certain types of treated pine.
Care: As A2 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance, minimal care is required. However, to maintain aesthetic appearance in highly visible areas, occasional cleaning with a soft, damp cloth can remove surface dirt or mild deposits. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools that could scratch the surface. Store nails in a dry environment to prevent any potential surface staining over extended periods.
