Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Polden Moc shoes arrive ready to wear. Simply unlace them, slide your foot in, and then use the authentic lacing to adjust for a secure and personalized fit. Ensure the laces are firm but not overly tight to allow for natural foot movement and blood circulation.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for smart-casual and casual styling. They are highly compatible with:
- Trousers: Chinos, tailored trousers, and corduroys.
- Denim: Dark wash or light wash jeans.
- Shorts: Stylish shorts for warmer weather.
- Outerwear: Blazers, casual jackets, and knitwear.
They are not typically recommended for formal business attire or heavy-duty outdoor activities.
Care
Maintaining the appearance and longevity of your Polden Moc shoes requires attention to their premium materials:
- Suede and Canvas Upper:
- Cleaning: Gently brush off dry dirt and dust with a soft-bristled suede brush. For tougher stains, use a specialized suede cleaner and follow the product instructions carefully. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Protection: Apply a water and stain protector spray designed for suede and fabric before first wear and periodically thereafter, especially if you anticipate exposure to moisture.
- Drying: If the shoes get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape, then allow them to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Leather Lining and Microfibre Sock:
- Wipe the leather lining gently with a damp cloth if needed. The microfibre sock can be spot cleaned with a mild soap solution.
- EVA Sole:
- Clean the sole with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Storage:
- Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
