Setup, Compatibility & Care
These boots are designed for kids and are compatible with various casual and outdoor outfits.
Setup (Wearing the boots):
- Unzip: Fully unzip the side zipper on each boot.
- Loosen Laces: If needed, loosen the laces to create enough space for your child's foot.
- Insert Foot: Guide your child's foot into the boot.
- Check Fit (Using "Does it Fit?" insole): Remove the "Does it Fit?" insole and have your child stand on it. If their toes reach the indicated line, the boot still fits well. If their toes extend beyond the line, it might be time for a larger size.
- Secure: Once the foot is comfortably in place, zip up the side zipper.
- Adjust Laces: Tighten the laces for a snug, secure fit, then tie them.
Care & Maintenance:
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. For tougher stains, use a specialized leather cleaner appropriate for Premium Timberland® Leather. Always follow the cleaner's instructions.
- Stain Protection: The Defender Repellent Systems® treatment helps resist stains. For continued protection, you may periodically reapply a suitable leather protector spray.
- Drying: If the boots get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the leather.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Lining Care: The ReBOTL™ fabric lining can be gently wiped clean with fluid if needed.
- Do NOT Machine Wash: These boots are not suitable for machine washing.
Compatibility:
- These boots are designed for children (`age_group: kids`).
- The materials are suited for cooler weather, providing warmth and some stain resistance for outdoor play.
