Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Carefully remove the old bearings from your wheels using a bearing puller or by gently prying them out with a flathead screwdriver. Be cautious not to damage the wheel core.
- Insert the new Accessotech ABEC 9 bearings into the wheel. You can often press them in by hand, or use a bearing press for a secure fit.
- Ensure each side of the wheel has a bearing. If your wheels use bearing spacers, place one between the bearings before fully seating them.
- Reinstall the wheels onto the skate or scooter trucks, ensuring they spin freely without excessive wobble.
Compatibility:
These bearings feature a universal 8x22x7mm size. They are compatible with:
- Most standard Skateboards
- Roller Skates (quad and inline)
- Scooters
Always check your existing wheel dimensions if unsure.
Care:
While designed with sealed, waterproof, and dustproof rubber seals, minimal care can extend their lifespan:
- Avoid submerging wheels in water.
- If the bearings get wet, dry them as soon as possible.
- Periodically inspect the rubber seals for damage.
- If performance degrades, check for debris caught in the seals. Gentle cleaning with a dry cloth is usually sufficient. Do not attempt to open the sealed bearings.
