Full details

The Arthouse Diamond Plain Blush Wallpaper is designed for homeowners and interior decorators looking to add a touch of sophisticated luxury to bedrooms or lounges. Featuring a delicate blush pink hue with subtle glitter accents, this wallpaper provides a high-end aesthetic while effectively masking minor wall imperfections thanks to its durable vinyl construction. While the finish is hardwearing and washable, users should note that it requires traditional paste-the-paper application, which can be more time-consuming than peel-and-stick alternatives.

FAQs

Is this wallpaper suitable for a bathroom?

While the vinyl finish is durable, it is not recommended for high-humidity areas like bathrooms or areas with direct water splashes.

What does 'Free Match' mean?

Free match means there is no complex pattern to align between strips, making the wallpaper much easier and faster to hang.

Can I use this over textured walls?

It will cover slight imperfections, but significant texture or raised patterns on existing walls should be sanded down or skimmed for a smooth finish.

How do I remove this wallpaper?

This wallpaper is designed to be peelable, meaning you can generally lift a corner and pull it away from the wall, often in full strips.

Does the glitter fall off?

Some minor shedding is normal during the installation process, but the glitter is securely bonded into the vinyl finish for lasting wear.

How many rolls do I need?

Calculate the surface area of your walls and divide by the coverage of one roll (approx. 5.3 square meters), adding 10-15% extra for trimming and mistakes.

Troubleshooting

Visible seams between strips

Ensure the paste was applied evenly to the edges of the paper and use a seam roller to press the edges firmly into place while the adhesive is still tacky.

Air bubbles forming after application

Use a soft smoothing brush or a plastic wallpaper smoother to gently push air bubbles toward the nearest edge of the strip.

Pros and Cons

Requires traditional paste-the-paper installation
Glitter particles may shed slightly during handling
Not suitable for high-humidity areas like bathrooms

Setup, Compatibility & Care

For the best results, ensure your walls are clean, dry, and primed before applying. Use a high-quality wallpaper paste suitable for vinyl wallcoverings.

Preparation: Remove old wallpaper and fill deep holes with filler, sanding smooth once dry.
Application: Apply the paste evenly to the back of the wallpaper strip, allow it to 'soak' according to the paste manufacturer's instructions, then apply to the wall.
Alignment: Use a plumb line to ensure your first strip is perfectly vertical.
Care: Because the material is washable, you can maintain its appearance by gently wiping the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap solution. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges that might damage the delicate glitter finish.
