The Salomon XT-6 features a textile and mesh upper designed for durability and breathability, not full waterproofing. While they offer some resistance to light splashes and mist, they are not intended for submersion or heavy rain.

The Agile Chassis™ System is a key technology integrated into the sole unit that provides enhanced stability and protection underfoot, especially on uneven terrain. It helps control foot flexion and provides a more stable ride without compromising flexibility.

We recommend referring to Salomon's official sizing guide. It's often helpful to try shoes on later in the day when your feet are slightly expanded. Ensure a snug fit that doesn't feel restrictive, with enough room in the toe box for comfort.

The XT-6 is highly capable on light to moderate trails and is suitable for recreational trail running. For very intense, technical, or long-distance ultra-running, some users might prefer models with even more specialized features, but the XT-6 provides excellent performance for many trail applications.

The OrthoLite® Sockliner offers several benefits including superior cushioning for long-lasting comfort, high breathability for better foot ventilation, and effective moisture management to keep feet drier. It also provides a thermal barrier for added comfort in varying temperatures.

Ensure you have the correct size. Try adjusting your lacing pattern or sock thickness. A break-in period may be necessary for new shoes. If discomfort persists, consult a footwear specialist.

While the All Terrain Contagrip® offers excellent grip, exercise extra caution on extremely wet, icy, or oily surfaces. Regularly inspect the outsole for wear, as worn treads can reduce traction.

Allow shoes to air out thoroughly after each use. Remove and wash the OrthoLite® sockliners periodically. Use shoe deodorizer sprays or inserts to absorb moisture and neutralize odors.

Ensure you are using the shoes for appropriate activities and terrains. Avoid excessive abrasion against sharp objects. Follow the recommended care instructions to maintain material integrity. Regular cleaning can prevent dirt buildup that can accelerate wear.
